Health Hazard Industry

Published by Montessorimum under BR_RM

I can’t really accept the company that hub is currently working with yet I still have to be supportive. We really do not have any other choice. We were quite desperate to come back to KL as JS’s starting school in KL this year and we are praying that the family can be together instead of hub staying in Seremban during weekdays and do the traveling twice a week. Our prayers were answered and hub got a job back in KL. It was the ONE and ONLY company in Klang Valley that had asked him for interview and he got that job.

It’s a good prospect company I must say, the remuneration package is good and it’s tough getting in, hub is lucky. But that doesn’t mean everything is easy. Though work is flexible but there’s pressure to deliver. He’s still under probation waiting for confirmation next month. He has been under stress for the past 4 1/2 months. He didn’t sleep well, he works late, even going back to office on weekend, he brought back work from office working till late night. That’s why all the moodiness and bad temper ( which I try very hard to be understanding and not throwing tantrum at him, but I’m only human with my own emotion and ups and downs, I had my down moment which causes all the arguments and cold war earlier. Bad me!). I am hoping that he will relax and ease down after his confirmation. It’s pretty tough for him as it’s totally new area and knowledge for him to pick up, in fact the process of producing one such simple thing is more complicated than producing those electronic goods!

It’s not the healthiest industry of all. He has to inhale 2nd hand smoke throughout the day as there is free flow of ciggy available in the office. (that’s what I hate and worry most, being a non smoker , a health freak and one who hated ciggy so much, I really don’t like the idea of him getting double dose of the smoke. From ciggy and the leafs) I wonder if inhaling the smell of tabacco leafs is as bad as smoking and inhaling the smoke 2nd hand??

He always complaint that his body smell so badly after work that each time he comes home, he never comes near us and stop the children from going near him instead he head straight for a shower ( Last time with his previous job, the first thing he did when he got home was to hug his children and give them a swing, how sad that he can’t do that anymore). Even that I can still smell tobacco from the bathroom coming from his shirt and pants thrown on the floor.

As much as we don’t like it, we really do not have much choice. Economy is bad, many electronics manufacturers are not doing well and retrenching their staffs, it’s hard for him to look for another job in Klang Valley , as least the nature of his current industry has not been affected that badly, there’s still demands on the product no matter how poor one person is. We are not risk taker for him to give up job to help me build my business, maybe if he can get consulting job as in manhattan it consulting , that will be great, but too bad, now is really not a very good time in the market. Consider lucky if you still have a job with good pay and package. One really cannot have both sides of the coin.

Vacation

Published by Montessorimum under BR_RM

Looking back of year 2008, I just realize that we have not done any traveling the 2nd half of the year, especially during the year end school holiday. JS’s friends wrote to her about their holidays , talking about their holiday vacations. JS looks really sad that she has not gone anywhere during this holiday and I feel sorry for her too. During my school days, my dad would always bring us for vacation and every time when schools reopened, I would be proud to share with my friends on my trip. I know how JS’s feeling now that all she can tell is that she has not been to anywhere during this holiday. There’s just too much of happening and uncertainties our family the 2nd half of the year to allow us to go for holiday.

First was the relocation from Seremban back to KL and hub getting a new job which he’s still under probation (he’s very stress about it, not until he gets his confirmation) , then there’s the moving in to the new house and PILs taking turn getting sick. There’s just no way we can go for a getaway.

I hope this year , we will get to travel more to compensate what we didn’t manage to the last year. Well, if given a chance. Really hope to go to the States. Read that GO Airlink Shuttle offers affordable deal, including their LaGuardia Airport Car Service, must go experience it.

Traveling Amazing Race Style

Published by Montessorimum under BR_RM

SIL and her husband had headed off to Japan 2 days ago. To Hokkaido to be exact. They are not going for a leisure trip, but more on a treasure hunt kind of adventure tour. Geared with GPS and maps, hop into the car and drive yourself around Hokkaido is what they will be doing and they will be there for a week. SIL was telling JS that she’s going for a treasure hunt and JS was quite curious what kind of treasure they are going to hunt. SIL is more used to travel leisure style. Shopping trip is more for her rather than adventure type. She was jokingly telling us that she’s going for Amazing Race and that they are looking for their own trouble. Knowing my SIL’s quick tempered, probably SIL and BIL will had some squabbles along the way, just like all the dramas we’ve seen on the TV series The Amazing Race. Waiting for them to come back to share their stories.

SIL is a frequent traveler/flyer. In a year itself, she travels around the globe be it for vacation or work purpose. Most of the time she would prefer to join a tour and like the other time when she was in New York with her friends, she took the charter bus nycfor the sight seeing tour.

I bet this trip to Hokkaido is certainly going to be a very different and challenging one for her.

Airport Shuttle

Published by Montessorimum under BR_RM

Although the fuel price is skyrocketting at this juncture, there are always many ways to cut cost when geting a connecting flight from a different terminal. You will never burn a hole in your pocket when hopping onto GO Airlink Shuttle. Not only does it offers affordable, reliable and safe ground transportation services throughout Carrie’s haven New York City but also its surrounding suburban.

Unlike AirAsia shuttle that does only Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT) and Kuala Lumpur (KL), GO Airlink Shuttle also does transfers between John F. Kennedy (JFK), LaGuardia and Newark Airports. GO Airlink Shuttle also services hotels, residences and businesses between Battery Park and 125th Street.

Speaking about uninterrupted services, you can be rest assured that GO Airlink Shuttle runs come Christmas, Easter or even 4th of July. So, the next time you’re looking for a shuttle to JFK, look no further. With a discount USD5/- on round trips when purchasing on line, what else can you ask for? Now that’s what I call cool savers.

It will be a sure winner if AirAsia can look into its ground shuttle business model and come out with a comprehensive package such as moving away from point to point shuttle service. That will be a rakyat’s careairline.

Blue Pill Jokes

Published by Montessorimum under BR_RM

Some history on the little blue pills :

Sildenafil citrate, sold under the names Viagra, Revatio and under various other names, is a drug used to treat male erectile dysfunction (impotence) and pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), developed by the pharmaceutical company Pfizer. Its primary competitors on the market are tadalafil (Cialis), and vardenafil (Levitra).

And since 1998 , when it became the first approved pill to treat pill erectile dysfunction , there’s been many report and stories and jokes about the little blue pills.

Found some real funny jokes online

A man finally gets his prescription for Viagra. Anxious to try it out, he takes one as soon as he gets home, and waits for his wife to come home from work, but, in his excitement he forgets and leaves the package open on the table and his cockatiel eats all of them.

Seeing the results and panicking the man grabs the bird and stuffs him into the freezer to cool off.

Just as his wife comes home, the Viagra kicks in and it’s hours later before he remembers the cockatiel. He runs and looks in the freezer expecting the worst, only to find the bird breathing heavily, drained with sweat and totally exhausted.

“What happened?” the man asks, “You were in there for hours and yet you’re not only alive but you’re sweating like crazy?”

The cockatiel pants: “Man, have you ever tried to pry apart the legs of a frozen chicken?”

So do you still want to try the blue pill? You can get Cheap Viagra online.

Teen Bedding

Published by Montessorimum under BR_RM

While I’m busy scouting out ideas on how to do up my children’s bedroom at our new home, (been very busy surfing the net as well as the bookshop. In fact we got another home decor magazine today from MPH), my aunt is also trying to have a room make over for her teen children. They have already outgrown their old bedding.

We went to the modern home and living fair II at mid valley exhibition center 2 weeks ago, but was really disappointed. Didn’t manage to get any thing we want. In fact it’s quite lousy, we really think it’s a waste of time. This weekend there’s another exhibition fair the HOMEDEC at KLCC. Hub refused to go anymore, saying that it will be like the previous exhibition. I’m not too sure. I’m still hoping to get some idea and inspiration on how to do up the house.

For the meantime, I can only surf from the internet. I quite like this site I found about bedding. At beyondbedding, they have quite nice kids bedding, childrens room accessories as well as Teen Bedding I think my aunt and cousins will really like the bedding at this site. Perhaps I shall persuade them to shop online. Instead of cracking our head on where to get those nice bedding for our children.

Shopping For Kids

Published by Montessorimum under BR_RM

If you have kids, then you will realize and agree with me that there are endless things to shop for the kids. From their basic needs to a little indulgent, the retail market targeting children is huge. Before I have any children, I of course only shop for myself. Now that I’m a mum of three, each shopping trip is for them and I put myself and my own needs second. When we are at the bookshop, we first head to the children books department, when we are at the mall, we are either at the toys stores or toys department and then also browsing through all the kids and Baby Clothes. Children now are just so lucky, because the parents have the spending power and willing to indulge their children.

Same thing goes to my SILs, before the birth of my three children, anything related to kids, kid’s stuffs , they are not interested in. They never go near the chldren’s cloth department, they never have to know what’s the latest toys and latest cartoon character. But now , each of the shopping spree, they won’t forget to get something for my children too. I’m lucky in a sense that I don’t really have to take care and buy cloths for my children, as my SIL has taken care of that. They have bought so many for the children until there’s no need for mummy and daddy to do so as they outgrown them very fast. Hub and me have to always remind them not to buy them too many clothings, once a year for Chinese New Year is already enough, but them books better, but still they can’t resist when they see nice children cloths.

Genuine Warranty Solutions

Published by Montessorimum under BR_RM

Often when we buy something that cost a little high, we expect it to come with warranty. It’s a habit we always ask whether the product comes with a warranty. We just want to have the assurance and feel that our money is worth spend. From electronic appliances, to house to car, all we expect they come with warranty.

Talking about car, when you buy a car, you expect it to work and be a convenience. Some people change car every 5 years, because they do not want to spent extra money on car maintenance. You know how the maintenance will cost and you never know when the car will break down. Just like my neighbor, she’s driving a more than 10 years old local assemble car, which is giving her so much problem. There’s engine problem, it broke down in the middle of the road, the car need to be overhauled etc etc. Her MIL had asked her to change a new car and finally she did. So safe the trouble of wasting money and having extra worries on when the car will break down. The good thing is , new car often comes with warranty. I remember a friend actually got the new car replaced during the warranty period, due to some technical fault that they can’t fix.

So when you buy car, just make sure that you not only buy car insurance, do make sure they comes with warranty too. You may want to check genuine warranty solutions . They offer the best kind of car warranty you will ever dream off.

CouponMall

Published by Montessorimum under BR_RM

If you are a reader of this blog, then you won’t be surprise by my love of shopping online. I’m an online shopaholic. I shop for books, toys, cloths , diapers and other stuffs online. Though I don’t say that each shopping experience is pleasant, like I was tax for no reason for a small package , like missing package, but that will not hinder me from shopping online.

First, it’s very convenient. It’s not easy to drag 3 kids out to shop, hunt for the things I want and at the same time keep an eye on time. And then I stay in a super outdated town with only one quite presentable mall, shoppings choice is LIMITED. It’s truly disheartening to stay in such small town and want to buy things I want. It’s quite impossible to obtain then. No doubt we travel back to the city weekly, but again our time is limited, they might have the things I want, but might be scattered all different malls, right in KL center, to some PJ to Subang, the jam, the crowd make it worthless to travel there to get one small little thing, and of course to my unique taste, some of the stuffs are not available in the local market, hence I have to look out and turn to online shopping. Another beauty about online shopping is that I can pay via paypal, which I pay using my hard earn moolah from writing pay posts, so it’s like an incentive and reward to me.

Though I have many experiences in online shopping, but I’m ashame to say that I have not really try amazon before until recently. I often order books through our local store via the internet, but lately, I turn to amazon and got a few books from there and they are delivered to me promptly. In fact must faster then if I were to wait for the stock from local stores which might take up to 6 weeks. Amazon most often have all the stock ready, hence I do not really have to wait. So far I have ordered 6 books from Amazon and got them delivered.

The only regret is that I have not really try out all the coupon codes available online. I know they promises great deals, but does it really works, I have yet to experimental to try it out yet. Maybe I really should and can further save up some money. Going through http://www.couponcodesmall.com.  I notice they even have coupons for buy.com . The next thing I’m going to buy online?? Maybe a unique mother’s day gift for my dear mum. If so , I shall start shopping now, else the delivery might not be on time.

Almost Time To Move Them Out

Published by Montessorimum under BR_RM

We are co-sleepers. The whole family, 5 of us sleeps in the same room and the children share our bed. Our sleep arrangement kept changing since JL’s arrival. For easy nursing at night, obviously the best choice for me is to have her sleep right next to me. So at the slightest whim she made, I can nurse her immediately without fully awake.

We do not have a king size bed to accommodate everyone. We have a Queen’s bed and single bed placing side by side as well as another mattress on the floor. Our current sleep arrangement is for hub to sleep on the single bed, the girls and me on the Queen’s and WH on the mattress on the floor. He being the independent one, chosen to sleep down by himself, whereases JS as high need as she is requested to have me sleeping skin to skin with her.

The other night , we were chatting on the bed. JS commented that baby is growing so big and that it’s a little cramp for the 3 of us to share the bed. I took the opportunity to tell her that it’s time for her to sleep on her own bed and own room. She told me not now, only after when we move into the new house.

The 2 older kids had each chosen their room, one said wanted to paint room sky blue, another one wants baby pink. They also requested for those cutie transitional bed. JS and JL will be sharing a room. I’m not sure if hub will buy to their suggestion on making their room decor so child oriented and I’m also not sure if hub will agree to buy those transitional bed and Baby Bedding as they will outgrown them very fast. Will decide later when we get the keys to the new house.
