Pearls

Published by Montessorimum under BR_LP

Pearls have been treasured since antiquity. They have been revered for their iridescence, their radiance, their luster, and elegant beauty. In China pearls are crushed to make makeup as well as to be believed to have medication value. Some people worn them as protective amulets. Dating back to Roman times, pearls have been considered to be symbols of wealth, class, and status. Above all, they are beloved as adornments. There are many pearls which have become as famous as their wearers.

My very first pearl necklace was from my grandmother when I was very young. She has gone back to China to visit her relatives when Malaysian were allowed to visit China and she bought quite a few pearl necklace back. Of course the one she bought for us grandchildren weren’t the highest grade, the pearls size were like a size of rice grain, not round and it’s pink. It seems to be a common souvenirs visitors brought back from their China trip. Even when we visited China, it seems to be a compulsory itinerary in the tour to visit the pearl factory/farm. My mum gave me a set of pearl jewelery including a pearl earrings as my wedding gift.

I’m off no expert to grade a pearl. Each time we were brought to the so called pearl shop in China, I never dare to buy the pearls as even though they claimed the shop to be controlled by the government, there’s just too many fake goods in China to know the geniuenity of the pearls in those shops. And I have never realize besides the grade of the pearls , there are also many different types , not until now. I’ve just learned that there’s freshwater, japanese akoya, hanadama and chinese akoya, tahitian, golden south sea and white south sea pearls.

I never dare to buy things in China, but if I were to buy pearls jewelry, I think I can trust shop like PearlsOnly. They have the world most beautiful pearls. Not only they have China pearls , they also have Akoya from Japan and Tahitian pearls. It’s easy to shop online at Pearlsonly as you can either choose by pearl color, pearl type or jewelry type. They also have special collections.

If you are a pearl lover, it’s no harm to hop over to pearlsonly, com to have a look.

For Better, For Worst… Until Death Do Us Part

Published by Montessorimum under BR_LP

….to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and health, until death do us part.

How many couples actually stay true to this vow?

I have these stereotype view that most couples in the western countries take this vow too lightly. In my impression, there’s just too many cases of single parents family, divorce and remarried cases in the western countries. I’m often in awe if I knew the someone who has parents that has stick on to their marriage till old age. To me, it’s a rare case.

For once divorce rate in Asia is low. Woman are generally more submissive and they use to think that divorce will bring shame to the family. So for many who weren’t happy with their marriage still stick on to the marriage instead of seeking for a divorce.

Now , it’s no longer the case.

The statistics of United Nation shows the up rising trend of divorce rate in many countries in the recent years. The divorce rate has been staying high in lots of European countries and America, and many Asian countries are catching up with those countries nowadays. For example, the divorce rate of Korea has ranked 3rd in the world. In America, it still ranked no 1 followed by Sweden. Non wonder we hear so much about divorce attorney like Dallas Divorce Lawyer over the internet.

In the America, people fear of divorce more than marriage. The divorce rate in America is still rising and in the recent years, many people also get divorced at later age like over 60 and even 80. For example the Dallas Divorce Attorney is handling many divorce cases a week. They are many Divorce Lawyer in Dallas and if one needs to find such divorce lawyer, I bet you have to go through a lot of reading to find one that suits you.

Hosting

Published by Montessorimum under BR_LP

I have 3 hosts for my blogs and website. The one for my personal website was way before I started blogging and the site has been abandon now but I still renew the hosting package as it’s auto renewal every year. The two other web hosts are for my blogs. I do not have many blogs, only one active one but with a few subdomains. I’m a little blur as I do not quite know when all these subdomain will expire. I have renewed one web hosting service and another one will be expiring in December. The host is good and helpful but he can’t seems to help me to solve my problem with the advertisers which can be quite frustrating as when there’s an opp to work, I can’t seems to take it and just that I’ve loose yet another opportunity to earn more. That’s why I’m quite contemplate to change to another host when the hosting contract expired in December. Yes yes, I have mentioned many time that I wanted to change host, but I guess I have been to nice to ask, but now I really will.

Been reading up on a few web hosting reviews , still not sure if to go for a local web host or those abroad like the Lunarpages. I like to have one that I can quickly reach to and respond back when there’s a problem. It’s also my dream to get a host to build up a proper web store for me. Shall really work towards that now.

Insurance

Published by Montessorimum under BR_LP

Insurance, in law and economics, is a form of risk management primarily used to hedge against the risk of a contingent loss. Insurance is defined as the equitable transfer of the risk of a loss, from one entity to another, in exchange for a premium. An insurer is a company selling the insurance. The insurance rate is a factor used to determine the amount, called the premium, to be charged for a certain amount of insurance coverage. Risk management, the practice of appraising and controlling risk, has evolved as a discrete field of study and practice.

When I was younger, when my parents started buying insurance for us, my grandmother was strongly against it. Even up until now, she doesn’t trust insurance and think that it’s a waste of money as if been conned. She prefer to invest and keepsake her money somewhere else. But insurance coverage and policies now had change so much compared to 20 – 30 years ago and everyone is having and insurance of some sort, be it health insurance and the auto insurance is a must if you have a vehicle.

There are now so many insurance companies blooming and it’s quite a competitive industry. As a consumer, we also want to strive to get the best deal that an insurance company offer. Now with internet, we can get insurance quotes online, be it home, car, health or life insurance quotes. In fact we did a survey online and found a cheap auto insurance deal and we went for it.

That is an amazing USD 1million in sales! This does not include Asian and European market share, which is off the authority’s radar and counterfeit stocks do make its way to the market. And actually the pill wasn’t intended for ED. The chemist was actually doing a research by examining hypertension and that soon led them to angina, the chest and arm pain cvaused by poor blood flow to the heart. The viagra was actually meant to be a cholesterol drug suppressed the action of an enzyme that was responsible for breaking down nitric oxide.

There are many counterfeit products flooding our market and there is no way we are able to distinguish between genuine and fake. The stakes are much higher as it involves our health and that is why it is very important to make your purchase from a certified and genuine supplier. Health Insurance

Published by Montessorimum under BR_LP

Staying in Malaysia, I think we are quite lucky that health care services are widely and easily available, ranging from Government Health Care service which often is very cheap and some FOC to private health care services. We can easily walk into any clinic for consultation and the consultation fees is still quite affordable. We need not really have to worry about medical expenses, some company even offer they staff with medical benefits which also take care of the medical expenses of the workers immediate family members.

Most of us here who buy health insurance are for major illnesses coverage which includes hospitalization as well as some surgery procedure.

I knew that if we were to settle in oversea, like in Australia, US or be an expatriate in any country, we need to have a health insurance, else getting a good medical services will be impossible or will cost a bomb. So it’s essential to get a health insurance. There are many affordable health insurance available. Just google the net and can easily get a Health Insurance Quotes.

About Buying Home

Published by Montessorimum under BR_LP

The other day when I was chatting with Joey (my cousin’s wife) over MSN, we also chatted about buying home. My cousin and his wife has been staying in Singapore for many years now, as he was working on a contract basis in Singapore, only recently they moved back to Malaysia. His work contract in Singapore has expired and I do not know why they didn’t extend/continue. Anyhow my cousin already got a house in Nilai, as he was initially working with MAS, hence bought a house there many years ago before he went over to Singapore, as he thought Nilai to KLIA is nearer. They moved back to Malaysia in March and currently staying with another cousin in Shah Alam and my cousin just found a job in Subang and they are currently planning to buy another house for their own which should be near to his work place too. We chatted about which area to buy the house and also about my new house too. She asked me about home loans , like which home loan we are currently using. I think all our local banks here offer almost the same home loans package , it’s just up to you which is your preferred bank and convenient for you to pay. I told her let her hubby decide, as this is my case, my man will be the decision maker on big matter like this.

Photofun

Published by Montessorimum under BR_LP

You know how parents took pride in their children , and you know how crazy parents will go around snapping their children photos, even though they do not have photography skills and the shots would not turn out professionally? I’m one of those parents. And each and every single shot is so precious too me, even though some of it might be blurish due to shaky hands and kids running/moving about and of course also because I do not have those high end camera.

I try to print that out, but sometimes I’m just plain lazy and I do not quite enjoy the quality of the printout from our printer and also the paper quality we get, seems not to be comparable with those from the photo studios. That’s why I feel unmotivated me to print the photos . Not printing out the photos , also make me worries. Since it’s hard copy, I’m quite afraid that what if my hard disk konk out and all the photos are beyond salvage? I actually make duplicate copies, burn them in many CDs, the same photo , I might burn into more than 1 copy of CDs just in case one of the CD got corrupted as well and I have external hard drive as backup and I really wish to have it print out through Pixart or photobook at meantime I simply have not started working on it yet. With all these duplication I have made, I don’t think it’s good enough yet, so I upload some (not even quarter) of those photos into Flikr and photobucket or whatever online storage that I stumble upon.

I’m glad to have stumbled upon another online storage for photos. The PhotoFun. It’s free to join and you get to store your photos forever at no charge. Current promotion is that they are giving photofuners the first fifty 4×6 prints for free (I must really hurry and not procrastinate on this). Various printout service is available at photofun, from personal business cards, to holiday photo cards and photo books and there’s different choices of photobooks that comes in the form of zapbook or album. The photos can be printed into calenders, wall decoration as well as day planners too. I must say it’s quite interesting option they are offering. Must really try them out.
