Slightly over a year we moved in to our current home, we are thinking of what else we can do to the house. We have thought about making the roof top to a balcony, but to think again, it wasn’t that practical, as we don’t usually go out to the balcony when the weather is too hot, and at night we certainly don’t want to go out to feed the mosquitoes. Then we taught perhaps we could change the awning which was badly fixed. (Wanted to save money, got a part time contractor to do it, so the quality is really sucks). We have even thought about doing up the garage flooring, but at the end, we think we should do up the study area.
There’s this piece of wall between the study table and the hanging shelves. We ordered a custom made magnetic whiteboard to be hung at the wall. This will replaced the easel we bought from Ikea.
Like this board so much, as we can post sticky note on it, and the kids can scribble on the wall.
I don’t have to look for paper when JS asks me how to write certain words or when she needs to find paper to write down her calculation.

Flowing water fountains were originally created for a very practical use. In ancient Roman civilization, they were used to bring water for drinking and irrigation into the great cities to ensure the health and welfare of the citizens. Water flowed from the giant heads of Lions, hanging from the walls of their impressive structures. Nowadays, you can obtain a water fountain for your own dwelling; but your reasons will likely be far different from the original ones.
Due to modern advances in production methods, it is much easier and cheaper to obtain water fountains. Their primary purpose in the modern home is aesthetic. Their vast selection makes them incredibly versatile. Materials, colors, and designs are mixed and matched to create truly spectacular visual displays of timeless elegance and beauty. Your water fountain may turn out to be your favorite piece of furniture in the entire house! You can certainly expect to become quite attached to it after owning it for a while.
But there are many deeper reasons why one might choose to purchase a water fountain for their abode. They offer benefits that range from stress reduction to spiritual enhancement. The sound of trickling water has been long associated with calmness and tranquility. And for good reason; modern science has affirmed that flowing water does indeed reduce one’s feeling of stress in his or her life. Water fountains provide all these benefits and more. But regardless of your particular reason for acquiring one, the benefits will flow ceaselessly throughout your life.

Forgive the pun but modern oriental furniture has an entirely new flavor. Gone are the ornate crane and geisha painted chests and in its place are sleek modern furniture pieces with a distinctly Asian flare. It’s hard to ignore the influence modern oriental furniture has on today’s décor. With new restaurants and hotels opening all across the country one can only imagine how many private residences have chosen an Asian theme.
One of my favorite local restaurants is a Latin Asian fusion restaurant called Cantina that features a beautiful carved wooden Pagoda which is used as a bar. They also use reclaimed wood for the beams and molding all of which are imported from Indonesia. Though I won’t ever have space for a giant pagoda, I have received recommendations of the restaurants owners on where to purchase similarly styled Oriental furniture from a site called Tansu.Net. Tansu Asian Furniture Boutique offers environmentally friendly Oriental furniture with a rustic flair. Definitely worth a look for anyone interested in modern Oriental furniture and platform beds.

Perhaps the most important choice when remodeling your bathroom or kitchen is deciding on a sink. Although it is just one individual part, it is the most important. The vessel sink you choose will draw your eye, and anyone else’s who sees it, like the centerpiece of a wedding. If it is atrocious it will degrade the entire bathroom. If it is stunning and colorful, it may be enough to enliven the room all by itself.
Vessel sinks are available in a buffet of styles, sizes and colors. Most importantly, you will want to match its color with the bathroom as a whole. Since the sink is such an attention grabber, it must blend in well with the overall ambiance of your bathroom or kitchen. That being said, you have incredible flexibility in choosing your vessel sink. Since it is meant to be a stunning piece, and since the rest of the room will be somewhat toned down by comparison, you have a lot of freedom to choose something a little more flamboyant than you might otherwise be comfortable with.
There are also a wide variety of materials to choose from. Vessel sinks are made from glass, ceramic, stone, marble, granite, and others. They tend to be on the heavy side, especially one made from a heavier stone; so if you are not of above average strength, consider enlisted the help of a friend or hiring someone to help you move your sink vessel. But don’t let its weight deter you! Choosing the right vessel will be a chance to really allow you to indulge your artistic side and beautify your room like no other single component.

Bathroom vanities are the new interior remodeling superstar. No other fixtures offer such incredibly diversity, selection, and elegant style. Their extreme versatility allows to pick and choose each individual component, customizing the entire process if you so desire. Or for someone who isn’t interested in complications, they can select a full bathroom vanity set.
There are an immense array of choices for your bathroom. The most important consideration is to match the general décor of your home. If you have a Mediterranean style home, you may want to go with something a little traditional. If you have an even older style, you may want to consider antique bathroom vanities, which are often ornate and extraordinarily beautiful. A contemporary home should consider the vast selection of modern styles to complement their décor.
You can choose a bathroom vanity set with or without a mirror, and you can customize the top, the sink, and/or the cabinet. The sink is the centerpiece and will draw most of the attention. This is fortuitous because there are a wide variety of stunning sink vessels to chose from, varying in size, style, color and weight.
Since bathroom vanities offer incredible utility as well, adding countertop space as well as storage space in the cabinet, you may want to consider a double instead of a single. This is especially true if you have a spouse or family who will be sharing the bathroom. Whatever your particular tastes and needs, you will find a bathroom vanity that will suit them.

Aesthetically speaking placing a garden fountain is a decision to be made under the discretion of the gardener. But there are several key aspects to keep in mind in terms of functionality.
It is important to place a outdoor garden fountain on a firm and stable surface. Materials like flat granite, cement, wood, slate or stone are ideal. Firmly compacted dirt can suffice. The reason it is important that a garden fountain sits on a flat surface is that it is imperative that a fountain is level and continues to be level.
If a garden fountain is not sitting on a level surface spillage will occur. When the water spills out of a garden fountain the water level becomes low. One function of the water in garden fountains is that it cools the pump. When the water level becomes too low on a fountain, the pump will over heat and need replaced. Since a fountain filled with water is rather heavy, if the surface is not solid enough the garden fountain will cause the ground to shift over time.
Another key issue to focus on when purchasing a outdoor water fountain is that the majority of garden water fountains are electrically powered. That means they need to have access to an electrical outlet, not a water source. They recycle the same water through a pump system.
An extension cord can be used if a garden fountain is placed far away from an electrical outlet. The extension cord can be buried or can be run behind or underneath plants for aesthetic purposes.
