Montessori Class?
Hits for this post:630

My home has been turned into a Montessori classroom.
Both of them had picked their own activity and was very engaged into what they were working on. All I did is to observe them and attend to them when they needed me. It’s so peaceful and quiet and they were so deep in concentration, suddenly it gave me a feeling as though I’m running a Montessori class.
I was also wondering if this would be the same if I have 5 or more children under my care, will they still be able to concentrate and work by themself?

Wow, that is so great! How I wish I could do the same! How do you get them to concentrate on whatever they are doing?
Just let them choose the activities they want. If something caught their interest, very likely they are going to concentrate and work on it.
Hi MM–they look so wonderful! What activity are they working on?
They are doing some pratical life activities.
You certainly have provided your children a very good learning environment.
I think if you have no help, the number should be kept at 5 or less and their age group should be of the same as your children. Else very difficult to manage. Just my 2cents worth.
Thanks
Brilliant JOB! Keep up the wonderful work!!
I also hope this can go on. Currently reading “Montessori In The Classroom” by Paula Polk Lillard, I realize to run a class can be quite hard work…the effort she has put in..etc etc
