Easy Way To Print Digital Photos

e got our first digital camera in 2002. We were so use to having a hard copy photo developed from the film , storing them into the album or enlarged it for photo frames as display around the house and when we just got the digital camera, we were kind of not used to it. We snapped quite a lot of photos with the digital cameras unlike the old camera, we can just snap and snap without worrying of wasting the film, all are stored in the external hard drive or burn into CDs with many duplicate copies. I’m scared that the external hard drive and CDs might corrupt and gone all my precious snap shots.

We bought a photo printer though. The HP Photosmart 130, only the first 2 years we were hardworking printing photos. It’s to be given away to SILs and very few did we actually keep in the album for ourself. But we tend to get lazy on the printing over the years. One thing is that the paper is not cheap so as the ink. The run out fast if you print a lot and another thing is that the quality is never as good as those from the photo shop. I wonder if they use other high end paper, high end ink or what. After months , the color of the photos we print at home faded. That’s one reason why I’m so lazy to do the printing at home.

I would really like to have a hard copy of the photos I’ve snapped. It’s easier to show to friends and relatives who visit. Just have to bring out the album and let them flipped through. Instead of getting everyone gather around the pc/laptop or sitting in front of the TV to view the photos. Well, there’s things like photobook or something like that each offer printing services. Again, I’m very lazy. With the photobook services, I need to select the photos, do some editing (that’s TEDIOUS for someone who isn’t very artistic and creative and no nothing about scrapbooking), then email them to get the book print out. I actually seriously thought of trying out those printing kiosk at the photo shop, where you can just slot in your memory card , click on a few buttons and order a printing. I do not know how much per piece it cost though. And someone suggested to me to get a digital photo frame. That’s another interesting thing I wish to have, but the photo frame and having the photos printout and keep in the album really do give a different feel.

Anyhow, I’m glad to have came across EOE ONLINE . I don’t have to leave my house, to go to the photo shop, I no longer need to spent time designing the layout of the photobooks and I can easily get my photo printed at a very reasonable price online. At this moment, the cost of printing a 4R size photo is only RM0.30 per piece. So for RM15, I can get 50 photos printed. It’s definitely cheaper than printing using my HP printer at home.

All I need to do is:

  1. Go to EOE website
  2. Register an account with them
  3. Upload my photos
  4. Select the photo sizes and quantity
  5. Checkout.
  6. Pay through credit card, bank transfer or bank-in
  7. They send the photos to me.

TIP:
If you are experiencing tortoise slow connection, don’t try to upload 15 photos at one go. Do it like 5 photos at a time.

Now before submitting this post to them, I need to select and upload 50 photos. Most are my favorite and I wonder how to choose. It’s like 5 years I have never printed any photos already.

And good news to bloggers, EOE is currently running a contest. You can write a review about their site and they will give out 50 4R size printes and RM50.00 review fee for each completed review. You can also stand a chance to win the grand prize – an Olympus E-420 Digital SLR kit with 14-42mm lens worth RM1999.00 for the best written review! More details click here! ( So this is what I’m doing, writing reviews and uploading 50 photos!!)

Now…excuse me, I have to go upload photos!!
