Pregnancy Update @ Week 32
Hits for this post:397
I realize I haven’t been keeping track on the progress of this pregnancy. Been too busy with the 3 kids and have not paid much attention to the one in the bum. A little lost track on how advance I am in this pregnancy and only roughly know how far I have gone. Have to keep going back to the ticker in facebook to check the actual gestation stage. Just as I thought I am already in week 33 and having 7 more weeks to go, the ticker in facebook tells me that I am only 32 weeks and 5 days preggy and count on the calender again…yeah..indeed it is only 32 weeks gestation and 8 more weeks to go.
Now, 51 days seems to be very long for me and I can’t wait for everything to be over. My pregnancy will come to almost an end following the school holiday, but I don’t want the school holiday to end so soon…contradicting!!
Growing through all sort of late pregnancy discomforts almost at the beginning of the 3rd trimester. First utmost discomfort is the frequency to want to urinate and it happens only at night when I want to sleep. Worst case that I am experiencing in waking up like every 20 minutes, going to the loo for more than 20 times during the whole night and finding hard to fall back to sleep after that. On average also I will be visiting the loo 10 times a night. It is so irritating that the moment I stand up from the toilet seat, the sensation of needing a pee returns.
Apart from frequent urinating, the urge to move the bowel also increase. (thanks goodness no constipation, but the feeling of needing the toilet so often also is no fun). I have read that only almost during labor that those kind of diarrhea feeling will appear, but I am having this kind of sensation earlier.
That had greatly affect the quality of sleep, hence the getting up late and still feel tired and badly needing long nap in the afternoon (even that also waking up every 1/2 hour to the toilet).
Baby has started moving more ferocious started this week, esepcially when I am lying down trying to sleep. That is another reason that sleep is disturbed.
Tired and sleepiness is unavoidable now.
Also due to bad quality of sleep, I am experiencing shoulder ache as well as acne popping up on my chin.
The weight that I have put on also cause waist pain and lower back pain , but at this moment when I am typing this the pain is temporary gone.
I have started snoring too , due to whatever changes in the body. It happens during all the pregnancies.
Then there is this wheezing and out of breath. I am not sure if it is asthma or is it because of the baby.
Trying to remain active, but I can feel that I am no longer as dexterous as before, my moves are becoming clumsy , though I still prefer to do the thing by myself and a lot of people still amaze I have the strength to do that. I definitely am not walking as fast as before. Tried bringing the children out and I am left behind panting and the pubic line area feels pain if I walk to fast or too much. Experiencing pain at the same area if i am carrying heavy (not too heavy ) things or letting the children sit on my laps.
Feeling strong pressure at the under region if I am squatting down as if baby might pop out or that region might tear.
Other than that, baby is doing fine. She is weighing at 1.9kg now and I have been putting on like 1 kg a week. Currently weighing 69kg. I am sure it is going to be over 70kg by the end of the pregnancy. She has turned head down too and I hope she will remain in that position until birth. My blood pressure, glucose and protein level also is normal.
We have already got a name for little baby and have been addressing her by her name.
Though I can’t wait for it to be over, but I am not quite mentally prepared. Lately been reading and hearing about too many emergency C-sect cases and also news that mothers that didn’t survive. (yeah…at this century, there is still cases like that!!) I am scared, really scared of stepping into the labor room again.
I have also not started packing my hospital bag and haven’t sorted out any newborn cloths for baby. Must start preparing after JS’s birthday party. Can only concentrate on one thing at a time now. Really not much of energy and stamina to multitask.

Congrats on your pregnancy!
I actually suffered from Pregnancy Rhinitis when I was pregnant with my 2nd child, had to prop up at night during bedtime and hardly breath (But it resolved after Junior was borned)!
How sweet you called the baby by her name before she’s borned! All the best!

Hi just popped by your website. i am preggy too and totally agree about the fear of childbirth, even in these times! my husband and i were freaked out when reading articles of mummies who didn’t make it after the labour.
All the best to you and continue on the good job of schooling your kids! hope i have the patience and energy to do so too…
