Today marked another milestone for JS. She had finally learn how to pedal on two wheels!! I know it is not something to brag about as many children are able to cycle without training wheels  by the age of 4 – 6.

For a while she had managed to pedal with only one training wheel, but daddy claimed that she is not doing it right and that will spoilt the bicycle. So instead of teaching his daughter how to pedal on two wheels, he moved a step backward and fix back the other training wheel.

Last weekend JS saw her friend learning to pedal on two wheels and already managed to do that. She asked daddy to also take off the wheels for her. I think daddy is lazy to do so and give her excuses that she must learn to cycle straight, balance etc before he can take off the wheels for her.

Just now JS borrowed the bicycle from her friend and attempt to cycle and I am really surprise she manage to pedal with two wheels without falling.

I thought that we would struggle to teach her how to pedal on two wheels and that she might even fall or scrap her knees before she can even do so..but really she amazed me.

I remember when I was learning to pedal on two wheels , it took me so long to learn to balance. No matter how my dad, mum, uncle help to hold the bicycle, I just couldn’t do it and there were many falls and scrap on the knees before I could cycle, but JS just done it with ease.

She happily called daddy and requested that he has to take out the training wheels tomorrow morning. No more excuses.
