With my 2 previous pregnancy, I have never kept a pregnancy journal… this time round, I have a blog and decided to have a journal on it.

I’m into my 7th week. My weight is piling up fast and furiously. Fatigue is the most common symptom I’m experiencing for the past weeks, hence also the reason of lack of proper blogging. Prefer to nap during the afternoon rather than sitting in front of the PC. Not too sure why am I feeling so tired… it may be an excuse to top up my laziness…. all I wanted to do is eat and sleep… I’m listening to my body… and take as much rest as possible.

Though feeling tired and sleepy , but each night I couldn’t really sleep well…many trips to the toilet and usually after that can’t fall back asleep easily and eventhough sleeping, the brain is still like alert with a lot of weird dreams.

Trying to watch out and control what I eat… I dont know if that’s craving… but I have eaten more instant noodles in this week compare to any other time when I’m not preggy. I’m constantly hungry… if I dont eat and with empty tummy, I feel very sick… the air in the stomach just make me feel nausea…so it’s munching munching all day long. I’m so dying for Teluk Intan Chee Cheong Fun now.

Initially wanted to wait till week 8 to do my prenatal scan… but I’m getting a little impatient, I have waited for 3 weeks…I can’t wait any longer. Though both home pregnancy test shows positive…but I couldn’t really convince myself that I’m preggy till I can see the baby’s heartbeat. I also dislike the unknown…facing the unknown give me alot of fears and negative thoughts.

So 2 nights ago, we went for our first check up at the GP. Check pressure… OK…did urine test and also did blood test (dont know the result yet… only if something is wrong the doc will call…if everything is alright.. I will get the report on the next visit), my weight has increased 2 kg in this early course of pregnancy… (OOPSs….a long way more to go….if I keep putting on weight like this… I can forsee myself being superly duperly fat and ugly in near future)

The doc initially didn’t want to do scan, notting that it will be too early to see the fetus unless we do a transvagina ultrasound scan… but I requested for one . True enough and to my great dissapointment…. I still can’t see my baby…. (again…makes me ponder… am I really pregnant… my baby alright or not?) Doc assured me that everything is alright…. she said the size of the sac which can clearly be seen is up to date and the shape of the sac is also nicely formed, doc assured me that as long as I feel healthy , no bleeding… I should just relax and we booked for another scan during the next checkup in a months time. She didn’t give me the ultrasound printout. Check through my old ultrasound scan for the first 2 pregnancy…. JS at six weeks was also only a sac…. WH at six weeks was a sac with a tiny dot in it…. maybe I really shouldn’t be too worry…. I was only given folic acids by doc which I have already started taking a few months back when I knew I wanted to have a baby this year… she said multivit not necessary coz I got no nausea and vomitting and is eating well (but I thought my gynae used to supply me with multivit too???) anyway… I will go get my own…
